The Partnership CDC's Home Buyer's Club

What is a Home Buyer's Club?
A Home Buyer's Club is a group of people who want to buy their own home, but lack the skills, knowledge, credit or the savings to do so through the normal commercial channels. Using an individualized problem resolution plan, participants work in a supportive group atmosphere to solve credit problems, develop savings and understand the process of buying and maintaining a home. Participants may work through the group anywhere from 6-12 months, depending on their level of readiness, before they are able to purchase a home.

This program is not a short term quick fix but a long term solution to developing strong life habits. The program's curriculum covers employment, savings, budgeting, credit, selecting a home, and the home purchase process. Participants meet to receive instruction, monitoring of their individual savings, mutual support and problem solving.

What can you expect?
*Realization of a lifelong dream- a home
*Changed behavior which focuses on achieving long term goals
*Savings and access to conventional lending services
*Knowledge about credit and assistance in securing financing
*Finding, buying and maintaining a home
*Priority in purchasing a house rehabbed by the Partnership CDC
