CIA and Drug Dealers
Sorting through the Facts and Feelings

Three Opinions

In August 1996, the SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS published a series of articles that explained how a San Francisco Bay drug-ring leader sold tons of cocaine to the street gangs of South Central Los Angelos.

The series charged that the drug leader had funneled millions in drug profits to a guerrilla army in Nicaragua that was run by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Not only was the CIA illegally running an army meant to overthrow the government of Nicaragua, but they were paying for it with money made from drug dealing in the United States.

The story from the SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS was reported nationwide and ended up in magazines and newspapers like TIME and the NEW YORK TIMES.

Drug dealing has reached crisis level in major cities in the United States. African American neighborhoods are hit very hard by drugs across the country. QWEST gathered opinions from students who had read the articles to see if they believed the CIA drug connection was possible.

Drugs have been a problem in the United States for many years, and I think the CIA has everything to do with it. It has been said that drugs are around because the CIA is making money from this drug operation; the CIA knows about the shipments that come in from other countries, and permits them to come through the borders because they are getting a profit.

They're several types of drugs out on the streets today, like heroin, cocaine (including crack cocaine) and marijuana. Cocaine is the most addictive drug of them all. Most cocaine is flown in from South America. Cocaine is a plant at first. After it is extracted from coca leaves, then it is "cooked" and mixed up with other substances. The final product is what is sold on the streets. Marijuana also starts out as a plant that gets dried out and sold. The lowest you pay for these drugs is five dollars.

As long as we have drugs, we're going to have thugs. There's money to be made in selling drugs, and some people will do whatever they have to do to get this money. This includes the CIA. If the community can get rid of the drugs, it will be a much better place. Drugs are destroying the lives of both blacks and whites.

Drugs are getting into our community from the CIA and the other crooked agencies. They bring drugs into our neighborhood distributing them to the big time drug dealers. They pass it down to the workers under them to distribute to the users. The workers stand on the corners, and then get arrested. The city thinks they're doing something to stop the selling of drugs, What they don't realize is that in the matter of still selling drugs they are continually hurting the people who are using drugs. There should be another way to get the drugs off of the street. The key factor to stop the war on drugs is to arrest the head leaders, because the CIA knows who they are.
CIA Drugs Conspiracy. The following quotes are from "Talk Free on your Own Terms. Drugs, Aids, weapons, prisons it's all a new form of slavery for us, "Illidge said. A government that once allowed it's black citizens to be enslaved with shackles would use drugs, weapons and diseases to hold them down today. The plan is to keep minorities from progressing. We are so gullible, we fall for it. Also why are young black men are fodder for the nations booming prison industry when they don't import drugs nor manufacture the guns that deluge the inner city. For years, rumors have swirled about body bags of black GI's being sent home laden with opium to re supply drug sellers of the getto.

The CIA Drugs in the community and in my neighborhood is bad and I want it to stop because the young kids in my community look at the things people do on the corner and copy and do the same. That is why the drugs have to stop. In the community there are drugs at every corner. When I look at TV, there is always some kind of crime or drugs.

How is the C.I.A. drug connection affecting our community? It bring more violence, drug pusher and drug user community it's putting more of our intelligent black brothers in the prison system. We sit and watch over the news of our brother and sisters getting shot, killed or hurt over drugs. If they aren't getting shot or hurt they are in jail. How is the C.I.A involved in this you asked? They are the ones bringing it in. They have shipments coming in daily, and you ask how the government is involved they are not trying to stop the shipments or lock anybody up except our brothers and sisters.
